Fundraising: Cougar Ridge Style

Cougar Ridge Elementary PTSA will hold its bi-annual fundraising auction at the Newcastle Golf Club on April 17, 2010.  This event is the largest contributor to the enrichment programs at Cougar Ridge.

Located on the Bellevue/Issaquah border off Lakemont Boulevard, Cougar Ridge Elementary is part of the Issaquah School District. Nearly 450 of our diverse family and community members participate in this event, which includes online, silent and live auctions.  Thanks to contributing businesses and families, 100% of the proceeds from the auction go directly toward improving the education of our students.

Proceeds from the auction make a difference in the education of our children by filling gaps left by district and state funding budget shortfalls.  Some of the invaluable programs and technologies provided by previous auctions include:

  • visiting science demonstrations

  • all-school science fair

  • all-school art fair

  • staff grants for supplemental math, spelling and reading programs

  • interactive white boards and Acti-Votes –  cutting edge technology allowing teachers to reach and assess students in an interactive, hands-on approach throughout each day
